Doug Larrow is a licensed and experienced skin care therapist with knowledge of the concerns that come with all skin types. With advice on diet, hydration, and choosing the right facial service for you, along with the perfect line of products from ecOasis, he will keep you beautiful all year long. After graduating with honors from the PA School of Cosmetology in 2011, Doug continued his education at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 2012, receiving his license in 2013. He practices Swedish, neuromuscular (deep tissue), sports, reflexology, reiki, lymph drainage, and myofascial massage. In order to ensure client satisfaction, Doug continues to extend his knowledge by attending education seminars on all facial and massage modalities.
Valrea Hoffman studied cosmetology during high school at CCVTC in Deerfield New Jersey. She graduated top of her class, specializing in color, perms, and cutting. Two days after graduating, she was employed by Horace Cingina at Horace’s Unisex Salon. After 26 years of employment, she decided to move to Pennsylvania to be with her family. There, she spent 8 years at JC Penny Salon until she was presented with the opportunity to join a new salon, ecOasis Salon and Wellness Studio, on Main Street of Clarion. During her career, she attended many classes and shows in Atlantic City, Cherry Hill, Philadelphia, Monroeville, Pittsburgh, and Seven Springs. Valrea says, “I love what I do.”
Kathy Burkhardt has been in the Cosmetology business for 29 years. She started with her schooling at the Clarion County Career Center when she was in High School. Kathy completed her hours for her operator license and passed her test in April 1984. She continued on that summer and fall to acquire the hours needed for her teachers’ license. Kathy took and passed those boards in January of 1985.
Kathy’s past employers include, 3 years at Tan-A-Shear and 26 years at JC Penney (Cranberry and Clarion Malls). She also works as a substitute teacher at the Clarion County Career Center and serves on their Occupational Advisory Board.
Kathy keeps up with current styles and trends by attending continual educational programs and hair shows. She is confident in Hair cutting, Up-dos, Coloring, Perming and Relaxing. She is also trained in Pedicures, Manicures and Sculpted Nails. Product knowledge is always a must. Kathy has been educated and is very familiar with many retail product lines.
Kathy has a loyal and sizable client base that ranges from all ages and personalities. She has seen many children grow up in her chair and thinks of her clients as an extended family. She also works well with anyone with special needs. Kathy is always glad to see a new client to share her love of the trade with.
Tiffany Bunch graduated first in her class at Bella Capelli Academy, a Paul Mitchell partner school, in Monroeville, PA. She was involved in the Products Rep Team, Student Council and was "Student of the Month" 2 months in a row. She received her Cosmetology license in 2007. Upon graduation she moved to Clearwater, FL and worked on the beach for 4 years at "Create You" Salon. She refined her skills in styling, hair cutting, hair extensions and coloring. She is also experienced in waxing and has done hair and make-up for wedding parties and proms. In December 2011 Tiffany moved back to Clarion to be close to her ever growing family and worked at the JC Penney Salon for over a year.
Jessie Davis is a 1991 graduate of the Clarion County Career Center Cosmetology School. She started her career in a salon in Pittsburgh where she worked for 18 months. After returning to the area, she went to work for the J.C. Penny Salon for the next 17 ½ years. She has completed numerous cutting, coloring and perming classes, as well as thermal straightening. While working for J.C. Penny, she was promoted to the highest level of Master Stylist, which she maintains at her new position at ecOasis Salon and Wellness Studio.
Edith A. Torres is a well know Sampoorna Yoga Professor, she is registered with the Yoga Alliance, and she has more than twelve years of experience offering her Peaceful and Nurturing Yoga Classes. She has prepared many students to become yoga teachers. She lived at Peaceful Valley Ashram for almost two years, living the whole lifestyle of a Yoguini.
She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist with fifteen years of experience. She offers different Massage Therapies, with a variety of styles, modalities, and strategies in her practice. She has been recognized for her professionalism, commitment, dedication, joy, peace, and knowledge that she uses with care in her classes and therapies. She can support you in feeling better and awakening your body, heart, and soul.
Melanie Herold graduated with honors from the Butler Beauty School in 2006, but she has been doing hair all of her life as it is her passion. She won first in two hair competitions and was student of the month. She began her career at J.C. Penny Salon in Clarion where she learned many creative color and cutting techniques. She continues her education with webinars and classes. She is experience in facial waxing, cut, color, smoothing treatments, manicures, and pedicures. She wishes to continue her education in skin care. She loves people and loves her job and is always looking to meet new clients.
